When you buy fresh cut flowers you want them to last as long as possible. Here are a few tips which will help them last longer.

• Put the flowers into water as soon as possible and always give your flowers fresh clean water.
• Always use clean containers or vases.
• Remove any leaves that will be in the water once they have been arranged. Leaves that are submerged in water will
  rot which will create bacteria in the water and will shorten the life span of the flowers.
• When you are arranging the flowers into a vase, cut off the bottom of the stem about 1 inch and at an angle to allow
  maximum area of the stem to be exposed to the water.
• Cut the stems underwater so that an airlock is created which stops the flowers from taking on water. This is
  particularly important for hollow stemmed flowers.
• Use the plant flood that is provided with the flowers.
• Change the water and food every two to three days.
• Don’t leave your flowers in direct sunlight or near any other heat source such as a radiator.
• Use a vase or container that is large enough so that all the stems are in the water.
• Spray the flowers with a light mist of water once or twice a day to create a humid atmosphere around the flowers.
