Arranging your flowers
- When you come to arrange your flowers, think about the size of the area in which you are going to place the flowers, and choose a suitable size container or vase accordingly.
- When you are arranging open flowers such as roses or daisies, arrange the in a different way so that you get to see the flower from different angles. Try not to arrange them so that all of the flowers are facing the same direction.
- Spread the flowers out as evenly as possible to create a nice looking arrangement, leaving space between the heads of the flowers.
- If the flowers are not sitting how you want them to, it maybe because the vase you are using is too small. A general rule of thumb is to use a vase that is a minimum of half the height of the flowers.
- If you have cut your flowers too short for the size of the vase, try putting some marbles in the vase which they can sit on.
- To give your arrangement a fuller looking effect. Cut the flowers at different lengths rather than having all the flowers the same height.
- Only use as much filler flowers as you need. You don’t want the flowers to get lost in all the green.
